It’s just about time to make the Labor Day trek to Maine to visit friends, have some cocktails and munch on lobsta and sweet corn! I’ve been riding my motorcycle up there the last couple of years and each year I try to go a slightly different route.
This year I’m adding a favorite lunch spot on my way – well it’s a bit out of the way, but it is in Maine. In Cape Elizabeth out on the jetty, sits the “Lobster Shack“. I love to get lunch there and sit out on the rocks – a great setting. The spot is know as “Two Lights” since there are a pair of lighthouses close by. That’s my destination on the way up.
On the way back, I’m not sure yet. It’s a bit early for the Kancamagus Highway and folage. Going a different route down through the “Whites” might be interesting. I’ll have to think on that one.
